You can pickle that! Learn the basics of pickling with vinegar to make quick (refrigerator) pickles or canned pickles for the pantry.
This workshop begins with a DISCUSSION on safe pickling techniques and favorite flavor combinations and a TASTING of an assortment of pickled vegetables. Students will get HANDS-ON to make a batch of pickles from a medley of seasonal farmers market produce. Then we will DEMONSTRATE preserving through water bath canning. Every student will TAKE HOME a jar!
